Subscription free holiday for affected businesses

Update 28 April 2020: The subscription free holiday offer is no longer available now that we’ve moved from Alert Level 4 to Alert Level 3. 

FlexiTime is providing a payroll subscription free holiday for businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Last week the government announced a $12.1 billion support package, including a Wage Subsidy, to help Kiwi businesses and employees affected by COVID-19. This week as New Zealand moves towards Alert Level 4 and the closure of all non-essential businesses, the Minister of Finance has advised that this support package will be extended.

The Wage Subsidy is designed to support employers who have experienced a minimum 30% decline in actual or predicted revenue to keep employees on the payroll during this difficult period.

For customers receiving the Wage Subsidy, FlexiTime is offering our support by providing a subscription free holiday during the four week Alert Level 4 lockdown period.

In the past couple of weeks we’ve put measures in place to ensure that FlexiTime can continue to support our customers, no matter what happens from here. Our entire team is working remotely and we’ve got the systems and processes up and running to provide the software and support you rely on.

The next logical step for us was to put our heads together to determine what we can do to help our customers who are feeling the pressure. It’s still early days as far as the COVID-19 pandemic is concerned in New Zealand, but we know that many of our customers are hurting already, or are preparing for tough times ahead.

It’s clear that all companies claiming the Wage Subsidy will be under immense pressure, and by waiving payroll subscription fees for a month we hope to make things just that little bit easier as businesses do their best to keep their staff in work and get through this difficult period.
