What is a sick leave anniversary?
Sick Leave Anniversary (definition)
By default, the Sick Leave anniversary is set to 6 months after an employee's start date. If the employee has been employed for more than 6 months, their next sick leave anniversary will be 12 months after the initial 6-month anniversary.
Each country differs in terms of sick leave entitlement. In New Zealand, every employee receives 10 days of sick leave on their anniversary. The maximum amount of sick leave an employee is entitled to is 20 days.
PayHero helps calculate these balances in payroll, with the option to include them on the employee’s payslip.
